This rocket stove uses biomass such as logs, firewood and other combustible material from nature such as pine cones. The combustion chamber is L-shaped. This ensures the right supply of air and thus you optimally benefit from the heat. The stove comes with a rack you place in front of the combustion chamber. Here you place the fuel and then slowly push it further into the stove. You can control the temperature by varying the number of branches or pieces of wood in the combustion chamber. You can extinguish the fire by letting the fire burn out or remove the wood from the combustion chamber. The stove is, with the exception of the cast-iron top ring, completely made from stainless steel filled with insulation material.
You should preferably place the stove on a flat surface that can withstand high temperatures. You can light the stove with, for instance, a firelighter or other material that burns quickly. Afterwards you can start adding thicker material. You place a pan on the cast-iron ring. You can use different types of pans but we recommend using a cast-iron pan. A Dutch Oven for instance. Pans with a non-stick coating or plastic handles often cannot withstand high temperatures.
